Grace Butland has been working with textiles since the age of nine, when she chose sewing as a 4-H Club project. Over the years, her interests expanded to traditional quilting and wearable art, then to art quilting. Her current work is focused on eco-dyeing and printing, using purchased sustainably harvested plant dyes along with plant materials collected on her daily walks. Her work is influenced by the natural world around her. She lives in Annapolis Royal.

Grace Butland travaille le textile depuis l'âge de neuf ans, lorsqu'elle a choisi la couture comme projet du Club 4-H. Au fil des années, ses intérêts se sont étendus au quilting traditionnel et à l’art portable, puis au quilting artistique. Son travail actuel se concentre sur la teinture et l'impression écologiques, en utilisant des colorants végétaux achetés et récoltés de manière durable ainsi que des matières végétales collectées lors de ses promenades quotidiennes. Son travail est influencé par le monde naturel qui l'entoure. Elle vit à Annapolis Royal.
